Servers coming.....and going. I have worked at this establishment for almost a year and a half and I have probably seen about 35-40 servers come to work for a couple weeks then decide that they can't do it. After a hectic night of pushing through the crowd to get drinks and other items out to tables, I have seen servers just loose it and start crying about how it is just too hard and emotionally straining. I will admit that it is hard to deal with all the bull that customers try to pull on their servers but, you need to have thick skin and get over it! Although this may be hard to do at all times, but one must realize that maybe their customer had a bad day; a poor test grade or maybe they broke up with their boyfriend/girlfriend, so your job for the night is to be a psychiatrist and although this may not be what you expected to do, let me tell you from personal experience when that grouchy customer leaves your place of work with a smile on their face it is the greatest feeling in the world!- and this is why I still work there...and great tips! ;)

Background

For the past 14 months I have been working at a local bar and restaurant. I have served people from places all around the globe and find my job to always be exciting, new, and of course interesting. I have experienced the nicest people and also the most rude people I have ever come in to contact with in my entire life. But, I have chose to keep coming back for more. For those of you that have never served a day in your life to the individuals who have been serving for decades, this blog is for your own personal enjoyment and I hope to find people who have had similiar experiences.
